About the project

IKO is a global manufacturer of high-precision bearings, linear motion systems and mechatronic components, supplying engineered solutions for applications across a wide range of industrial sectors. With products defined by their engineering detail, precision and performance, IKO needed a stronger way to visually communicate its component range. Traditional product photography can be restrictive when dealing with complex engineering products, particularly when specific configurations, viewing angles or combinations of components are required.

Challenge

IKO’s products are highly technical, with much of their value found in the precision engineering and detail of the components themselves. The challenge was to create imagery that could communicate this quality clearly, while giving the marketing team greater flexibility than conventional photography could provide. The visuals also needed to remain consistent across a diverse product range, creating a premium and recognisable style that could be used throughout IKO’s wider sales and marketing activity.

Our approach

Using IKO’s existing CAD and technical product data, we created a library of highly detailed 3D product renders that showcase each component with exceptional clarity.
Working digitally gave us complete control over lighting, materials, viewing angles and composition, allowing individual components to be isolated or brought together into larger product configurations without the limitations of a traditional photoshoot.

The result is a flexible bank of high-quality product imagery that IKO can use across its website, campaigns, presentations and wider marketing materials, bringing the precision and quality of its engineering to life.
