Mental Health Awareness Week 2022

Agencies can support better mental health. There is a world of difference between an agency that does good work and a good agency. Of course, a good agency will do good work but they will also act as an extension of your own in-house resource. They will act as “sanctuary” and provide a “port in a storm” whether the storm be internal or external. Lastly, they will be the place where you will be guaranteed, not just offered, but guaranteed a great cup of tea.

We all have those days when you need someone to agree with you. Someone to agree with your take on the “work”. To support your views when you may be struggling to get your views understood within the business. That is integral to the role of “good agency”. This is how agencies can support mental health.

This support is not to be downplayed. A different perspective and a change of scene has value in itself. But there is a serious point here. Wellness, Mental Health and Wellbeing have never enjoyed so much airtime; because they’re important. But the role of agency, as the creator of space for conversation is to be embraced, supported and welcomed.

In this Mental Health Awareness Week I would urge you to find the space and the time to share whatever you need. In short, to trust your agency beyond “the work”. If we can help you do that, then you know where we are.
